Terra Balcanica starts to deliver with exciting assay results

Terra Balcanica is a junior miner which is exploring some very interesting land packages, in both Bosnia and Serbia, although the Bosnian prospects look the most interesting at the moment. Projects in the former Yugoslavia are always intriguing, as they can leverage the wealth of historic geological survey data from the 1950s and 1960s. Since then, few of these sites have been properly explored.

The richness of the potential seams within Bosnia are historically charted, with mining operations here going back to the Roman Empire. UK investors will already be familiar with the success of Adriatic Minerals [LON:ADT1] in this area, and its world class Vares silver project.

Terra Balcanica is exploring at the very end of the massive Oligo-Miocene belt, which includes rich copper and gold resources that stretch across the Balkans and into Turkey. The miner has just uncovered a gold bearing system at Brezani for its 90% owned Viogor-Zanik project. Maiden drill holes intercepted 0.61 g/t AuEq over 88m and 0.58 g/t AuEq over 28.6m.
