Pilbara Minerals enters agreement with Sichuan Yahua industrial group

Australian lithium producer Pilbara Minerals has inked a deal with Sichuan Yahua Industrial Group to provide spodumene concentrate, a crucial mineral for lithium battery production, to the Chinese lithium chemicals firm.

Under the agreement, Pilbara Minerals’ Pilgangoora Operation project is set to deliver 20,000 tons of spodumene concentrate this year, followed by 100,000 tons annually in 2025 and 2026, with an additional option for up to 60,000 tons per year. The pricing of the concentrate will be determined at the time of supply based on prevailing market rates. This collaboration strengthens the partnership between the two companies, with Pilbara Minerals looking to enhance its sales profile and evaluate downstream opportunities aligned with its growth strategy.
