Oriole Resources PLC advances bibemi gold project in Cameroon: Expanding exploration and drilling targets

Oriole Resources PLC CEO, Tim Livesey, provides an update on the company’s Bibemi orogenic gold project in Cameroon during an interview with Proactive’s Stephen Gunnion.

The company is collaborating with BCM International to enhance and extend the mineral resource at the Bibemi site. Recent interpretation of geophysical data has unveiled several new geophysical targets, which hold promise for expanding the project. This year’s drill program aims to validate these targets, potentially augmenting the existing mineral resource estimate (MRE).

Livesey underscores the difference between January’s MRE upgrade and the current targets, emphasizing the addition of entirely new areas for exploration.

The 2024 drilling strategy is centered on defining resources at shallow depths and enlarging the MRE, with plans to drill up to five new targets. Additionally, Oriole and BCM are advancing exploration at the Mbe target, with results anticipated shortly.

The company also intends to progress exploration on its other licenses in Cameroon, indicating a busy year ahead with a growing local team. Livesey expresses optimism for substantial resource confirmation in 2025 and maintains a dynamic exploration schedule across their portfolio.
