German Energy Corporation LEAG and Rock Tech Sign Letter of Intent

Rock Tech Lithium Inc. and German energy corporation LEAG have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to collaborate on various projects. LEAG will supply Rock Tech’s Guben Converter with carbon-neutral power and heat, which will be sourced from LEAG’s “Gigawatt Factory” hydrogen production plant.

The collaboration between Rock Tech and LEAG aims to be a long-term and mutually beneficial relationship. In addition to the carbon-neutral power supply, the LoI also includes collaboration in waste management options and attracting qualified talent. The partnership between the two organizations is a strong commitment towards sustainability and the decarbonization of the automotive sector.

The first step of the collaboration will involve exploring the installation of photovoltaic systems on the roof of Rock Tech’s converter in Guben. This will provide green power supply for the converter. In the future, the converter may also receive hydrogen from LEAG’s “Gigawatt Factory”.

Furthermore, the two parties will work together to recruit qualified individuals in various fields, including lab technicians, chemical workers, welding specialists, and IT technicians.

Rock Tech Lithium Inc. is a cleantech company focused on producing lithium hydroxide for electric vehicle batteries. The company plans to build lithium converters at its customers’ locations to ensure supply-chain transparency and just-in-time delivery.
