Connemara Mining to start drilling at Ireland lead zinc site

AIM-listed gold, zinc and lead explorer Connemara Mining Company said it will start further drill testing at its Ireland mine.
A drill rig will start further testing of the Springhall target within the Oldcastle block on the Meath/Cavan border in Ireland, which is prospective for zinc and lead.
The company’s joint venture partner, Teck Ireland, has outlined structural, alteration and mineralisation evidence which contributed to the Springhall target’s upgrading.
The new drill hole, TC-1991-003, is over 1km southwest of holes TC-1991-002 and TC-3926-002, which were drilled earlier in the year in the upper sandstone unit.
The Oldcastle block has five licences being explored by Teck Ireland, which has a 51% interest by spending €550,000 and is increasing it to 75% with a further €800,000, in an agreement with the company under Oldcastle Zinc.
Shares in Connemara Mining Company were up 1.56% to 1.62p at 0847 GMT.
