The general director of the company “Drina resurs” from Srebrenica, Aleksandar Mišković, said at the presentation of the results of geological research carried out in the area of this municipality – that gold was discovered at a depth of 80 meters at the Brežani site, reports the Radio-television of Republika Srpska.
– It is too early to talk about the amount and percentage of that metal in a ton of ore, but it has been reliably established that it is in the ore structure – said Mišković.
Speaking about the results of the work of the company that operates as part of the Canadian company “Tera Balkanika” from Vancouver, Mišković said that this year they performed drilling at the locations of Čumavići, Olovine and Brežani, and that the results are promising.
He specifies that in the Chumavici locality, at a depth of 50 meters, they discovered silver-zinc and lead ore with a larger admixture of antimony and a smaller admixture of gold , and that in Brežani they discovered gold at a depth of 80 meters and that they expect that in the deep zone they will find to copper in Brežani and Olovine.
– The company “Tera Balkanika” is investing in geological research in the municipalities of Srebrenica and Bratunac, and after that, and after the results obtained from expert analyses, it will be decided whether to proceed with the development of project documentation and the exploitation of those ore deposits and under what conditions – said the director of this company, Telegraf reports.
