Azerbaijan puts 17 new mining deposits into operation through auctions

Azerbaijan has opened 17 new mining deposits for operation via a recent auction, as reported by Azernews, citing the State Service. This initiative, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy’s Center for Organization of Auctions, the State Agency for Use of Mineral Resources, and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, aims to boost the country’s mineral resource exploitation.

Significant increases in bid values were seen during the auction. For instance, the “Yeni Yaşma I” sand-gravel deposit in Khizi saw its proposal jump from 7,079 manats to an impressive 201,000 manats.
