Kyrgyzstan to launch gold bullion production plant in Kara-Balta as part of industrial expansion

Kyrgyzstan is set to inaugurate a gold bullion production facility in Kara-Balta, located in the Chuy region, by August, according to Narynbek Satybaldiev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzaltyn Enterprise. This initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kirghiz autonomous region and to establish 100 new industrial plants across the nation.

Satybaldiev also announced that the initial ore extraction will come from the Mironovskoye copper-bismuth and gold deposits. This marks a significant step in leveraging Kyrgyzstan’s extensive mineral resources, which include gold, antimony, copper, rare earth elements, tin, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, magnesium, and other ores.

The new gold bullion plant, covering 1,500 square meters, will produce gold bullion domestically, a significant shift from the previous practice of manufacturing abroad. The facility will also create coins, commemorative medals, and orders, utilizing advanced technologies imported from Italy and Germany.

Founded on October 15, 1992, Kyrgyzaltyn is the largest mining enterprise in Kyrgyzstan, focusing on the development of gold deposits and uniting various mining operations within the country.
