Jordan Phosphates Mines Company (JPMC), a major global producer of phosphate and phosphate-based fertilizers, has entered into a strategic partnership with Waterise, a pioneering Norwegian startup specializing in environmentally friendly deep sea desalination. Their collaboration aims to launch an ambitious project in the Gulf of Aqaba to address JPMC’s growing water demands.

Currently, JPMC and Waterise are finalizing water offtake arrangements and other necessary details before moving forward with definitive agreements. This partnership marks a significant step towards enhancing JPMC’s operational efficiency and achieving its sustainability goals by utilizing Waterise’s cutting-edge desalination technology.
