Denmark expresses interest in investing in Pakistan’s mining sector

Denmark has shown interest in investing in Pakistan’s mining sector.

A delegation from the Danish Business Group, led by Denmark’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jakob Linulf, discussed potential investments with federal ministers in Islamabad today.

The federal ministers highlighted the significant mineral reserves in Pakistan and the potential for substantial investments in the sector.

Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik welcomed the prospect of foreign investment in the mineral industry.

Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb promised to provide full support and facilitation for such investments.

Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan described the Danish interest as encouraging, noting its potential positive impact and the government’s aim to promote business activities with private sector involvement.

Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan emphasized that Danish cooperation in the mining sector and broader bilateral business activities will bolster Pakistan’s economy. He highlighted Denmark as a key business partner and expressed a desire to further strengthen this relationship.

FL Smidth CEO Mikko Keto indicated that the company is prepared to move forward with actionable plans and profitable projects in Pakistan’s mining industry.
