In return, 80 Mile maintains exposure through a carried interest position. This arrangement allows the company to advance a major exploration programme while reducing the need for repeated equity fundraising.

For junior exploration companies, financing is often one of the biggest challenges. Exploration requires continuous capital investment, and companies frequently rely on share issuances to fund drilling campaigns. This can create dilution for existing shareholders, particularly when projects require multiple rounds of exploration before reaching a discovery stage.

By securing external funding for exploration activities, 80 Mile can maintain exposure to potential discovery success without carrying the full financial burden of the drilling programme.
